Introduction of CARB certification



The California Air Resources Board (referred to as CARB for short) is a branch of California Environmental Protection Agency, which is reporting directly to the governor's office of California. CARB's responsibilities: Effectively reducing the air pollutants to promote and protect the public health, welfare and ecological resources, and recognize and consider the impact on the national economy.

CARB's main goals:

•Provide Safe, Clean air to All Californians.

•Protecting the Public from Exposure to Toxic Air Contaminants;

•Reducing California's Emission of Greenhouse Gases;

Providing Leadership in Implementing and Enforcing Air Pollution Control Rules and Regulations


CARB office is responsible for managing the rule-making process of motor vehicles. The rules of the motor vehicle emission pollutants are summarized in Title 13, Division 3-Motor Vehicles.
